Josh Potter
Canada College-Men's Basketball Assistant Coach
Coach Potter is set to make his 2nd appearance in a row as a guest speaker at our Summer Camp! He had a very successful high school coaching career. Coach Potter spent 7 seasons with the Branham Bruins in San Jose, helping build them into a perennial CCS contender. He also just completed his 2nd season with the Canada College Men's basketball program where he helped them complete their most successful season since the 2018-2019 season, finishing 15-12! Coach Potter is a true winner!
Timothy Howell
Coach Up, Trainer and Former Professional Player
Timothy Howell played 4 years of Varsity basketball at Viewpoint School. He then went on to play for 4 years at Whitman College. Afterwards, Coach Tim went to play professionally in the American Basketball Association for Team Trouble. Along the way, he had stops playing overseas in London and Belgium. Coach Tim is now currently a skill and development trainer in Roseville, CA sponsored by a company called Coach Up. It'll be great to hear from Coach Tim about his professional career and his training business!
Caleb Theodore
Sacramento City College-Women's Basketball Head Coach
Coach Theodore just completed his first season with the Sacramento City College women's basketball program. He helped lead them to a season record of 10-18, beating some of the best teams in California on their own home floor. Prior to taking over the program at Sacramento City, he had coaching stops at Las Positas College and Cal State East Bay. Coach Theodore also played basketball collegiately and professionally overseas. We are excited to hear about what it takes to play at the next level, and his own playing experiences both in college and as a professional!
Sam Luong
Sacramento Skills Academy and Skills Factory Basketball Services-Trainer and Former Professional Player
Sam Luong is the co-founder of Sacramento Skills Academy and SkillsFactory Basketball Services. Over his career, he's hosted many camps and clinics all over the world. Sam has also trained many high level high school, college, and NBA players through the years. He's worked with some well-known people in the basketball world such as Rico Hines. Sam is also a graduate of McClatchy High School, as well as a former player and graduate of Dominican University. He even played professionally in the United Kingdom. Sam has made a huge impact in the game of basketball here in Sacramento and worldwide! We are extremely lucky to have him share his story and experiences with us!
